Hello!!

I've been a little absent from LJ again. I've popped in now and again to post HR chapters, but apart from that, and a small amount of LJ skimming, I've mostly been asleep.

I've been feeling a teeny weeny bit blue and that just makes me mega tired.

L read my letter explaining my reasons for not wanting to be her friend anymore and she went completely and absolutely off her nut. She phoned into work on the Sunday to complain to our manager and she only suceeded in proving that she is indeed a very sick woman that needs help fast. Anyway, to make a long story short, due to her reaction to my letter and a few other factors, she has been suspended from work and will not be allowed back until she has received treatment. I asume this means that she'll be going away for a while.

This is a great relief for me. This last week has been just awful and I felt so terrible that my letter caused all this. But my manager and HR have said that I did her a favour with my letter. It pushed her and brought out the severity of her illness. Now everyone can see what I saw and even she has now apparantly admitted that she needs help.

So, the storm has passed for now. L is getting help, the atmosphere in the office is so much better and I'm changing my mobile and mobile number. My new pink phone should arrive tomorrow! Yay! Pink! And to make top off all this goodness, I have a week and a half off work! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They're right. Sounds like your letter was the catalyst that brought out the true nature of her illness. I know it doesn't seem like it now but I feel you did the right thing. Your friend is going to get the help she needs. You are a friend.

A pink phone? Why!!? I recently bought a new phone. I can only imagine the look on my face when the sales assistant pointed out a pink phone. I don't do pink!

I do keep trying to tell myself that. Maybe I did do the right thing. But did I do it for myself or for her? I think I did it for myself.

I love pink! It's just a colour that seems so suit me...along with brown. When I went window shopping for the phone at O2, the sales assistant asked me if there was any particular reason that i had to have that particular phone. I said: "Yes, because it's pink."

And when he asked me if there were any other reasons I said: "Yes, because it's pink."

He think he thought that I was a tad loopy!

And that's just fine...you made sure that you'd stay safe, and she gets help as well. I'm glad it's worked out that way. I've been praying for you, and it's nice to see you back. :-)

It's true. You did do the right thing, especially if she's going to be getting help now. I'm glad that things seem to be working out...and yay! New phone, no work...a much needed break from the sounds of it!

Suki, I'm sorry this whole situation has been so shitty for you, but I'm glad that things are out in the open about this woman's mental health. It's good that other people know how damaged she is, too. It helps protect you and everybody else.
