Birthday Fireworks and my poorly doggy.

My friend, Twirl, arrived from Nottingham yesterday. It's her birthday today and we always celebrate together. We decided to go to Horley, a place that I normally detest, and watch the bonfire and fireworks.
The bonfire was big and the firemen that were there for back-up were very tasty! The Fireworks were splendid and there was much ooohing and ahhhhing. And some ouching everytime we got showered with red hot ash. Lovely. I singed my face and Twirl nearly lost an eye. Still, it was fun.
Aftwards Twirl drove us to see
big_balls where there was present exchanging and lots of tea. Twirl had got me the DVD of Batman Returns and BB's dad got me the new Spike and Burn book. So yay!
This morning is not so good. Woke up to discover that my darling doggy, Indy, has got a great big swollen back foot. His pads are red and weeping and he's limping. I've examined the area, but I gotta say, I see nothing. I'll contact the vet first thing tomorrow, but before then, salt water wash? Any ideas? I guess I can't really take him out for his walkies.
Meep. I love my doogy and although he doesn't really look bothered, he must be very uncomfortable. This is just typical. It's only been a few weeks since the lump in his belly saga (which involved lots of tears and then turned out to be nothing, thank god), so this has come as a very unwelcome surprise.

Date: 2005-11-06 11:24 pm (UTC)I'm sorry about Indy, sweetie. Hopefully it's nothing serious if you can't see a wound or anything. Maybe just a little infection in his pad that the vet will be able to sort out with antibiotics.
*hugs*
