Back to the NCIS fics, Tears and History are great, but I love Sensing Evil for its weird and unexpected supernatural creepiness. Consider this one definitely AU!


I'm currently reading the beautiful McShep verse Nantucket and it reminds me of all the wonderfully written fics in that fandom and it's prompted me to start my Top Twenty Fics of all Time. Multi-fandom. I think it would be interesting to figure it out, post and then come back to it every six months to see how much it's changed. Right now I'm just trying to make a random list of memorable fics from all my fandoms. Erm, this might take some time, especially as I intend to re-read all the serious contenders. Eeep.

Oh, the Nantucket AU is just *sighs*

Whenever I want a soft comfortable blanket of a fic I usually head there or to the Iowa'verse.

I don't think I could cut my list down to a Top 20 multifandom, I think I've probably got at least that many fandoms. Per fandom, possibly...

Oh I ADORE the Iowa verse. That will be VERY near the top of my chart.

I've got 26 fics lined up as contenders for my top 20 so far and I've barely started on the HP fics.

I adore Lady Ra's writing, especially the Sentinel & Stargate stuff & the NCIS stuff--okay pretty much all of it. I just re-read her sg1/sga story "wraith killers."

I've never seen the 'nantucket' universe, but then i don't read that much McShep. My first love was beckett/mckay so I've been stubborn trying the pretty flyboy with the snarky scientist.

Still on an NCIS kick I see. did i, yes, i see i gave you recs way back when you asked.

You should seriously read A Farm in Iowa if you haven't already. That was my number one McShep fic ever and it's absolutely wonderful!

I've been reading Keira Marcos' "what might have been" -- it's wildly AU, perhaps too OOC for some, (plus it has yucky jack-sam) but I can clearly see how canon john & rodney could become the john & rodney in her story, given the different events that it jumps off from. And the storylines are pretty darn engrossing, with interesting OCs (though not enough daniel jackson) with an absolutely wonderful relationship between john & rodney (loving, snarky, teasing, fierce & Hot); and I love Rodney's "ginormous cat, maybe an alien, Quark".
