*nods hard* Mean, cruel, vicious... Words just aren't enough to describe how revolting I find this behaviour. He's a man who did his job brilliantly. Just because the outcome wasn't precisely as we wanted it doesn't mean he should be abused.

I agree completely. These people are spoiling things for the writers and for the rest of us. I want to grieve without these twits making a mockery out of it. I'm just glad the fandom has plenty of people who want to find peaceful and sweet ideas to protest.
Wow. That's just awful that things came to that point for him. People really do need to calm down. It's that kind of behavior that presses out a person's muse, and I just hope he hasn't lost any of his drive.
Yeah, it's terrible. I really hope he doesn't feel too down about it. I suppose it's a compliment in a sense, that his writing prompted such a massive emotional response. Still, I can't tolerate that sort of behaviour from people.
That's just awful, I know people are upset but to go these lengths...they really need to grow up. All this does is upset the people who are bring the characters to life in the first place.
Its insane is what it is. I'm not an especially understanding person so I cannot come to grips with the fuss that this is causing. I liked the show, I like the characters, but the extremes from ppl this week are just disturbing. I read what he said from Twitter and I clicked back through to one of the offenders' Twitter page. OMG the things she said to him!!!
I do completely under the upset and the anger and the hurt and the disappointment because I feel that way too. I'm way beyond devastated about this and I've cried every day so far. But this is unacceptable behaviour! I had a look at the main offender's Twitter page, too and her attitude stinks. What an idiot!
Some people just have way too much time on their hands and embrace the whole 'internet=anonimity therefore I can be less polite then I would to a person face-to-face'. Good on you, and him, for calling on their bullshit.
Of course they have the right to rant, scream and even say 'fuck you' to him and any of the others involved-but only on their personal blogs, journals and whatever. Everyone has the right to be that angry and un-nince as it may be, they have the right to get that aggressive and angry in their personal space too. But sending him messages in his personal space, getting into his face....not nice. I wonder how many would have the balls to be so vile with people standing around watching and judging them?
I would love to see if she could say those things to his face. This person is just a self-centered coward and sending those messages is idiotic, anti-social, unkind and just bloody crazy!
