I finished watching NCIS season 2 this morning and under the cut is my very spoilery reaction.

KATE, OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I confess I knew she was going to die, but I didn't know how. Even when she stood up on the roof and I so knew it had to be coming, I was still shocked by the back of her head exploding.

I'm gutted. I really liked her. Does anyone know why she was killed off? Did the actress want to leave? Bugger, bugger, bugger.

She and Tony bounced so well off each other, with poor McGee stuck in the middle, like three naughty siblings. They were a great team ~sniff~

Oh, and Tony resting on the farting Hippo? The writer who came up with that is a comedy genius! Q: When will fart-noises stop being funny? A: Never.

As for season three, I've had a glimpse of Ziva and I hate her. Don't take any notice of me yet, though, because I'm grieving for Kate and feeling territorial.

Sasha Alexander who played Kate wanted to leave NCIS to do something else, although I never saw her in anything else after that. I think she has a kid so that could factor into it too.

I didn't like Ziva at first either and then I liked her and at the moment I don't like her again. But that's just my reaction to the season finale and nothing permanent.

I have your feelings on Ziva. I didn't like her, I warmed up to her, I loved her, I don't like her. We'll see where writers go from here.

As much as I loved Kate I really like Ziva. She's very different and that's a good thing.

I know. It was a shock, wasn't it? One of the most dramatic exits I've ever seen. Kate was great.
Ziva is totally different and you'll probably come to like her, pretty quickly. Honest. She isn't a replacement Kate. She's something different entirely.
Don't delay watching the first episode of season 3, though, if you can at all help it. *is not saying anything more*

Yeah, such a shock! I don't know why Sasha decided to leave the show but interesting factoid (or not): she's married to Sophia Loren's son.

I wasn't sure at first but ended up really liking Ziva. She's a completely different type of character with a really interesting background.

I'm up to about halfway through S6 and the rest is sitting there, staring at me... I'm pretty sure it's been renewed for a seventh season.

Isn't she adorable? Her relationship with Gibbs makes me giggle. She can get away with more than anyone else!

There are six seasons?!?!?!? Shit, I just pre-ordered S5 from Amazon. I thought that was the last one so far!! Feck, I'm gonna have to d/l S6, aren't I, lol? Has S6 been aired over here yet?

LOL, yeah, she gets away with a lot! I love those big cups of caffeine Gibbs bribes her with. She's so cool.

Right I'm packing up and going to bed to watch more NCIS because clearly I have a long way to go! Nitey nite!

What She's Doing Now

I just checked IMDB.com and it shows that since she left NCIS, she has been in about 9-11 movies and TV shows. Some of the movies haven't been released yet. She was also in Mission Impossible III which its hard to tell if that was filmed while she was still at NCIS or not.

I was shocked too, but I second fourth fifty-seventh the Ziva love.

Sasha seems to have made the transition to the big screen: Missin Impossible III and Yes Man amongst others.

It was very shocking, indeed. Poor Kate.

But as you get to know Ziva, well, I like her, a lot. She's a very lopsided character, in that I would never ever ever want to piss her off, because she'd break me into pieces with her pinkie. But she's kinda screwed up in that her personal life and childhood leave much to be desired. After the season finale, I'm reserving judgment.
