It's been a weird couple of days. Grandad hasn't been behaving himself and we've had 'antics'. I won't go into it, but he's always been a handful and always will be. At times like this I need to remind myself that I need to be a little stronger and take things less to heart.

But never fear! I cheered myself up with some online shopping! I bought Gareth David-Lloyd's audio books. All of them. Am particularly looking forward to the Cthulhu ones. My ex was a massive Lovecraft fan and I caught a bit of the love from him. He used to read some of the stories to me, and now weirdly even five years later, the stories aren't the same when I read them myself. Now I have Gareth to read them to me! Yays!

In Devil May Cry 4 news, I'm still adicted, and every moment I play I fall a little bit more in love with Nero ~points to icon~ I went looking for Dante/Nero fic yesterday and joined a few comms. Haven't found much in the way of fic yet. It seems the fandom takes 'uke' a little too literally. Come on, I'm a short way into the game and I can already see that he's a confident, cocky, tough, talented, part-demonic warrior. I doubt very much he's going to cry during sex.

GDL has audio books? Why didn't I know this? Does he actually speak clearly, or is he mumbling? I spend half the time I'm listening to interviews and stuff with him trying to figure out wtf he's saying...

LOL, yes, he is a bit of mumbler, isn't he? I put it down to his very deep yet soft and soothing voice :oD Don't know if he mumbles on the audio books, though. I'll let you know!

Yes he is...At first I thought it was the Welsh accent but no, he mumbles...

Now I have more stuff to buy...stuff that I'm sure is not available here...My family is very confused by the fact that half the stuff I wanted for Christmas needed to be ordered from Amazon.co.uk...also meant I didnt' get any of it since converting pounds to dollars sort of freaked them all out.

Even in the series there were a few moments where I just didn't get what he said and had to run it back. I'm really bad at hearing people with low/soft voices, people that don't 'project' their voice. JB is a projector, Gareth keeps his to himself ~pats his head~

I'm sure the audio books are clear, though. He wouldn't have done so many otherwise.

Well, if he continues to sing (a word I'm using very loosely here) like he does on that new CD his band did, he's going to destroy his voice anyway...Also have noticed when he's swearing he's perfectly clear...

I'd hope the audiobooks are clear, but I'll have to track them down online since I'm sure they aren't going to be available in U.S. stores...

There's a youtube clip of him singing Ain't No Sunshine and he sounds good...he can sing...not that that CD shows that...the kids are mad that they aren't allowed to listen to it...specifically they wnat to listen to Bam Bam...

Yeah, that's what my mind always does to me. I'd search out some to mollify it, but I've just recently been dragged into the Final Fantasy fandoms. It was a rather yum OT4 with Zack, Aeris, Cloud, and Sephiroth what did it. Now I'm reading through that and trying to keep up with my umpteen billion fandoms I'm already addicted to, so no time yet to find another.
