Merlin -- Ep 4/The Poisoned Chalice

What a brilliant episode! I knew from last week's trailer, that it would be. Arthur on a quest to save Merlin's life. I loved every moment. Poor Merlin! And Arthur's concern! And worry!

And then there was the touching and the sweaty, delirious calling out of Arthur's name. And did you see the look they shared at the end?!?!? Man, the slash writes itself.

Wasn't keen on the spiders. And as always, texting with lucy_locket made the whole thing even more fun. I shall miss her next week when she's at the Hub meeting Gareth David-Lloyd. Honey, you have to text me if you get to speak to him. I NEED DETAILS!!

Back to the episode. One of my favourite bits was the Hello Chest moment (ha ha to Lucy, for great minds really do think alike). Guh. If you've seen the ep, you'll know the bit I mean. literati, are you still alive or did that bit finish you off??? My goodness, that man gets more and more gorgeous every week.

And speaking of the wonderful literati. She's in the zone and she's posted a massive load of Merlin icons HERE. Keep an eye on her journal because there will be more to come, plus HP. Whoo!

Yeah. My mum had the same reaction when she saw the Nancy in the Oliver Twist they did more recently was black. *sigh* I don't know why it matters. You can't really say it's not realistic - because it's a fucking fictional work to start with. Plus did Dickens every say that Nancy was white? Lol.

And not a duff episode yet, they've all been great. I wonder whether they use any of the actual Arthur/Camelot mythology in the episode stories (ie is there such a flower in a cave etc) - I don't know the mythology at all (shame on me!)

I'm the same, I'm affraid, clueless about the actual legends. I intend to learn because I've got a taste for it now, but I think it'll be a bit of a shock.
