I've changed my font as per the advice I got at [livejournal.com profile] writerconuk and while I was at it, I made a new banner and changed the colours.

I don't like the new font all that much, but it's undoubtedly clearer now that it's sans-serif. Still, if anyone wants to rec me a cool sans-serif font that LJ will accept, I'd be very happy.+

The font looks the same to me but I don't think I have the one you're using in my puter. In other words, REC ME!

MWAH!

It's supposed to be Lucinda Sans, but I'm not sure if it actually is ...

Nope, not what I'm seeing. I'm seeing a more Arial type of font, only not.

Just put up a link to where we can download the font you're wanting to use. Then I can install it and see it!

You can use any font on LJ that you've got on your computer. The only problem comes when someone viewing your journal doesn't have the same font on their computer and so it might use their browser's default.

For ease of reading, I've heard that the most popular sans-serif fonts used are Arial and Verdana (and I prefer Verdana because I think it looks slightly prettier).

Another tip that might make things easier for people following links from communities to your journal is to add ?style=mine to the end of the URL - which simply means that they'll see what you've posted in the style of their own journal. For example, the URL of this post would be http://suki-blue.livejournal.com/213285.html?style=mine

Oh I see!

I tried Verdana and Arial and they looked virtually the same as this one, which is meant to be Lucinda Sans.

Thanks for the advice!

Most of the sans-serif fonts look pretty much the same to me! I'm not even sure which one I've got on my journal, to be honest.

Well...I'm not sure about fonts, but I will say I think it looks really good. Also, the lighter colors make it much easier for me to read. I think your LJ looks really good. :)

*hugs*

The font looks fine to me, but I miss the beautiful banner you had at the top of your old layout.

I like Comic Sans MS, not sure if it works on LJ. I'd have to ask my brother if it's compliant. It's clear and easy to read, with an obvious difference between lowercase L's and uppercase i's.

Yes, I like that font. It was the first one I used on LJ. The only reason that I don't use it is because it can look a little bit child-like.

You could always try Tempus Sans. It's less formal than Arial and whatnot, but not childish or overly ornate...
