Spike leaned back in his chair and smiled. It had happened and it was bloody wonderful.
He had tried almost everything to give Angel his absolute heart’s desire, to give him the one thing that would turn his grand-sire back to the magnificent Angelus of old.
He had never considered it would be this easy. If only he had thought of it before. If only he’d had the foresight to realise that Angel really was this dull and uninteresting.
Angel held the jar of raspberry jam in one hand and the stubborn-no-more jam jar lid in the other. ‘I’m back.’
