Indy and I just discovered a new game. I roll his miniature squeaky football at him and he bats it back with his tail. So cute! He was also very cute yesterday when I opened the front door, forgetting to put him behind the dog gate, and he literally leaped passed me and launched himself bodily at two unsuspecting Christians who had come to talk about the bible - they looked quite relieved when I said I wasn't really interested, as I barely held back my great big, black, barking hound from hell. Heeeeeeeee! I love my dog.

Anyway, pimp time. Here's a couple more H/D recs to corrupt you all with:

Second Chances - Both boys are now in their thirties. Harry is a teacher at Hogwarts and Draco has three children from an arranged and unhappy marriage. They meet up when Draco's children go off to Hogwarts and Harry gets involved when one Malfoy child shows some disturbing signs. This fic mixes up two of my fav genres in the HP fandom: Post-Hogwarts and Kid!fic. It's a lovely, sweet story with a nice bit of angst thrown in. It's not particularly explicit, preferring to concentrate on the plot, which is just how I like it. My only complaint is that I felt like I wanted to bang Draco's and Harry's heads together at one point, but that just shows how much I got into it.

The Depths of Winter - Four years after getting out of Hogwarts, Harry lives alone in the Muggle world. He has turned his back on the magical world – until one day, when Draco Malfoy gets into a car crash before Harry’s eyes and ends up paralysed in a wheelchair. Post-Hoggy and H/C, I love this fic to itty bitty pieces. There's not much I can say about it really, other than, if you love H/C, you'll love this. Believable characterisation, mucho sweetness and a nice bit of mystery that, although is as transparent as a window, is somehow very intriguingly and quite exciting. A must-read.

I think that's all for now!

Indy is my kind of dog! Gracie loves him too! In fact, I now think she has a crush.

You lucky hellhound owner, you! *pines for a dog* My husband has always been against the idea of getting a dog, but we walked past a beagle puppy the other day, and he was absolutely smitten. Now I just have to save up until I can afford a beagle.

I loved Second Chances! Especially since Draco's kids weren't sweet little darlings who only needed to be loved; they were kids, capable of being just as selfish and obnoxious as kids can be.

I would be lost without my dog. He was with me through one of my most loneliest times. They're such wonderful friends. And Beagles are so cute! I'd definitely consider them in the future. Or a pug, cos they're so little and wrinkly. Hee!

It was such a great story! I loved how Damien was so like Draco was at that age, quite selfish - and such an apt name.

It was all rather funny. They must have thought I was pure pikey when I opened the door, half undressed, hair all over the place, with a giant unruly dog and a hallway that hadn't been hoovered in a week and was covered in a layer of black dog hair!

Hehe! Sounds like my girls. Funny enough it's the Pit/Lab mix who's the total softy and the Corgie-mix who's the agressive one.

And I'm days ahead with my compiling so I can go read the recs! Yay! Scratch my H/D itch. =]

Oh, ya. She's anywhere from a nipper to a biter. We have to keep the Corgie-mix ('Mione) on a lead away from the door, or we'd never get a visitor.

Wonderful stories! I've not read very much in the HP fandom, though I do love the books themselves. I find that I really enjoy post-Hogwarts, adult-character fics, and I loved the H/D dynamics in both of the stories.

I see that you have more recs up today, so I'm off to read those as well!

Oh great! I'm glad people are enjoying my recs. I love passing on fics that I've enjoyed so much.

I plan to rec everything I come across that I love so do come back and have a look. I'm a big fan of the post-Hoggy, adult fics. There's just something I adore about an adult Draco.
