Re this week's Doctor Who: I knew it!!! Just before he said it, I knew it!
Just watched Hot Fuzz. Verdict: Fucking classic. The Swan! Bwahahahaha!
Went out for the day yesterday to have lunch with
big_balls and a friend to look at friend's wedding photos and coo over her gorgeous little boy. BB and I went for a small shop afterwards. I bought two pairs or sparkley shoes - you know, those slipper style, slip-on sequin type sandals. One in gold and one in silver. Four quid each! Bargainous.
Finished reading another excellent H/D fic yesterday. Starts With a Spin - It started with the spin of a bottle, and now Harry and Draco have gotten themselves so far into their own game there's almost no way out again. Except to keep playing. NC-17. I do love 'party game' fics, and I love them even more when the story moves on and we get romance and plot. This is a long fic and does exactly that. Brilliant characterisation all round.
Wasn't there a Spander fic where Spike and Xander play Twister? Or did I dream that? Anyone got a link?
Now, if you'll all excuse me, I'm about to go start something a little special for Grief Counseling. Ahem. ~runs away~

Date: 2007-06-18 07:20 pm (UTC)I only read H/D stuff that's been rec'd because the fandom is just too big to search through otherwise. Keep a look out because I shall be posting links to the recs lists I'm using very soon.

Date: 2007-06-17 06:16 pm (UTC)Party games in Grief Counseling? Think about all the evil things Xan and Spike could do to Angle :-D
Write it, it screams to be written.
I liked "Starts with a spin" as well. At the moment I am at "Double Edged Sword" not bad not bad at all. It starts out G/H *iks*, but goes to H/P soon (thank you). Even as it is explained as part of the plot it has to much sex (yes, there are things like to much sex sometimes), but you can scroll. I like how the author uses different forms of telling the story and she covers a huge time period and complex thems quiet well. Wanna try?
Looking forward to "Hot Fuzz". If the friend I wanted to go with, wouldn't be ill today, we would have seen it by now. Have you seen "Shaun of the Dead"?
