Random Randomness
Jun. 9th, 2007 08:32 pmTonight's Doctor Who was creepy as hell. Very Stephen King-esq. It reminded me in particular of one of his short stories about a painting of a guy in car. Scared me shitless. Anyway, the ep was my fav yet of this series, even though it did fuck with my brain - then again, Back to the Future still fucks with my brain. I can't help it, I'm a deep thinker.
I just bought a cd of all the Young Avengers comics from ebay. I fully intend to buy the actual books on payday, but the cd will be handy for art and icon purps and for posting random scans to encourage you lot to delve into the wonderful world of comics and get some slashy action while you're at it. (Yes, the Young Avengers has become my new crusade ~click the link for icons of the bois~, and I shall not stop until I've corrupted at least five other people, not including
amejisuto because she was a walking corruption machine long before I came on the scene ~kisses~.
I phoned my sister today. We're getting on fantastically. I really like her a lot. I feel like finally I'm related to someone I can connect too.
Grandad discovered my David Hewlett collection and has spent the last three days solidly watching his entire film career. He calls him Rodney instead of David Hewlett. So far, his fav film has been Darklight which has whatshisface - Jim from The Sentinel - in it. In fact, Gramps liked it so much, he watched it twice today. I think he's a fan. ~gggggg~
I've been playing Final Fantasy III on my Nintendo DS today. Lots of fun. It really takes me back to the days of Final Fantasy VII and VIII on the Playstation. Good times. Frustrating times. Save, save, save, fucking save, you stupid woman! ~smacks self~
What else? No, that's it. Hope you're all well.

Date: 2007-06-09 08:39 pm (UTC)I'm lucky - I've had a big brother and sister since the day I was born and I wouldn't be without either of them - even tho' they've driven me to various levels of insanity over the years...
There's just something about siblings that is ubercool.
It must be very strange for you to suddenly discover this whole new family that you knew nothing about. I wish you and them well...have fun getting to know each other.
Oh and yay! Your grandad's a Rodney fan! Go grandad!

Most of all I wish so much for you and your mum. You've both missed out on so much through no fault of your own...you deserve this time together.

YIS! I'm so getting one of those even if I have to make it myself. LOL!

Date: 2007-06-10 12:59 am (UTC)This stash wouldn't be the stash I posted off all those moons ago, would it? Hee! Go, Grandad!
Darklight was a weird one, for sure. Jim is Richard Burgi in his off-camera moments. (He's in Hostel 2 too, which is... graphic.)

LOL! Yep, the one and the same. Grandad is nearly through all the DH stuff now so I'm going to start him on the JF stuff next. I've certainly had a lot of use from all those discs so thank you again! ~bg~ My fav is still Boa V Python: nothing beats wet Hewlett.

Ah yes, that's him. I'm seeing him everywhere at the moment! Darklight was very odd. Grandad loved it though. Hee!
