Teh Blah No More
May. 28th, 2007 10:02 pmThat's it! No more procrastination for me! What with my ~cough~ little break from writing and feeling ill enough to liken myself to a pair of used knickers after a day of jogging in the sun - worn and somewhat soggy, in case anyone has trouble with that analogy -, I've become lazy and unproductive.
So, tomorrow, after work, I'm going to completely gut my total-mess-of-a-study until it resembles a nice tidy place to order my thoughts and ideas and then I'm going to sit down and go for it. I'll start with more Grief Counseling and then move on to the next season of Teenage Dirtbag. From out of Nowhere is being a bitch so I'm going to have to put it down again before I start hissing and spitting at it.
I'd better go have a relatively early night, then. I may try to read some Order of the Phoenix. I've been re-reading all the HP books in readiness for July 21st, and just like the first time, I've faltered at OotP. I don't know what it is about that damn book. Still, I'll keep on with it, like the brave little toaster I am, just becasue I can't wait to re-read Half Blood Prince.
G'night!
EDIT: I've changed the font on my LJ. Could you guys go take a look just to make sure it doesn't look all fucked up and weird on your various browsers?

I've so far managed to tidy my study area to my own very low standard. Still, works for me. ~g~

Date: 2007-05-29 04:18 pm (UTC)It really takes motivation, doesn't it? Especially when there's so much to write that you don't know where to start and so you up just flailing about instead. ~g~

Date: 2007-05-29 04:21 pm (UTC)Ack, what is it about it? I really want to know. I mean, I've read bigger books so it can't be the size that causes me to have an internal seizure. I have managed to d/l it in audio-book form so I'm going to listen to it while I make some icons at some point in order to speed things up :oD
~smooch~ All well rested now.

Date: 2007-05-30 01:19 am (UTC)I think, for me, it was Harry's anger. While it pissed a lot of people off, I was completely in Harry's corner. I felt as pissed as he felt and don't get me started on what I wanted to do to Umbridge. I also read it all in less than ten hours which means the angst was all in one go and I wanted to throw the book against a wall by the end of it. I started to read it again a little while ago and I had to stop in between chapters and read some h/d fluff.
Icons? yay! ::waits::

Date: 2007-05-29 10:40 am (UTC)I think OotP was the point at which I gave up. Is that the one that's really long with lots of politics?
The font looks fine from here. The colours are all ever so pretty, too.

Date: 2007-05-29 04:29 pm (UTC)Yeah, OotP is the one which is the size of a house and has depressed!hormonal!Harry and idiotic!Dumbledore. ~rolls eyes~

Date: 2007-05-29 04:32 pm (UTC)I'm not used to such dark colours in my LJ so I keep tweaking them and looking at it all sideways just to be sure. Hee!

I totally need to tidy my desk space too, it's kinda hard to even tell if there is a desk under there at all.
