I keep meaning to post, but then I forget or I'm too busy reading/procrastinating/watching stuff/sleeping etc. Then it all builds up, doesn't it? The things you need to say. And before you know it your post turns into bullet points. For example:

** I saw James Marsters play in Islington on Friday. I thought he was wonderful, although I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to hear the whistling song :o( Still, he was sexy, partly in tune, and he molested his microphone stand. Oh, and let's not forget the bare arms. That's good enough for me. The evening involved meeting up with lots of fellow LJ'ers such as kitty_poker1, shapinglight, vic_amy_z, vampirefever, sueworld2003 and princess_s. And then along came vamptastica (who is fabulous, btw) all the way from the States. All in all, I had a fab time and I wish I could have gone to lunch with the girls the next day because they're so special and because they got to sit at a table next to Jude Law. ~grumbles~

** BB is a jammie fucker who managed to buy a PSP for 65 squids! Damn her and all her shoes!!

** BB forced me to play a HP game on her PSP and now I've ordered a copy for my DS. You know, just to see the difference between platforms. Just to be curious.

** I've been reading Drarry Mpreg and it rocks like Stonehenge. Thank you so much to literati for a HUGE list of links which will probably take me weeks or possibly months to get through. ~basks~ I'd forgotten how funny Mpreg can be even when it's supposed to be serious. Birthing sack! BWAH!

** I have an urge to write Dick/Tim (Nightwing/Robin). I feel a Tim phase coming on.

** I want a 13" Dick. I'm going to start to saving my sickles.

** A great big thank you to shannon730 for the Composition Books. They've finally arrived and I'm just chuffed to pieces with them. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! It wasn't clear how they were sent as apparently it wasn't by Air Mail. I'm going with Terrapin Mail.

** I think that's all.

** Oh, time for bed. Gotta watch my nightly episode of 24. That damn BB leading me astray again.

** Oh, oh, oh, how awesome is Heroes at the moment? I'm d/l and watching in line with the eps shown in states and GAH!

** Lastly, I promise, a word to the wise: Direct Speech. Look it up. There is such thing as finding a 'voice', and if you can't manage that or at the very least understand that then don't fuck around with fanfiction and don't tell me how to write. /growl.

They just basically attacked (and I am being overly dramatic) my fic and did a beta without my permission. They did pick up some errors, but some of the stuff was just stupid! Like changing 'who' to 'whom'. and yes, 'whom' was correct, but it was direct speech and I don't think this particular character would have said that. Surely it's my choice to decide what my characters say?

Good for you! You happen to be a gifted writer with a wonderful ear for character voices. Don't let some bitchy wannabe with a tin ear and inflated sense of self-importance tell you what to say or how to say it.

I had someone tell me I ought to rewrite one of my stories and "thoughtfully" provided me with step by step instructions on exactly what the characters ought to do...you can imagine my joy.

~shakes head~ Why do they bother? The whole point in fanfic is that you make it up yourself and if someone doesn't like what you've labeled they should fuck off and read something else! Ame and I had someone complain that a chapter of Grief Counseling was very "Emo". Ummm, it was, like, chap 48 of a fic called Grief Counseling?It's going to be about Grief. Stoopid

I don't know how, but the weirdos always find me. I have had people complain about the fact that Hell to Pay is so dark (it's got more warnings than you can shake a stick at on it) and I had someone complain that a clearly labeled Spillow fic of mine wasn't Spuffy! According to this girl, you are not ALLOWED to write Spike with anyone but Buffy or Willow with anyone but Tara...OY!

Just wanted to say hi. I just got thriugh with reading you From Out Of Nowhere Series and I am in love, the dog though is the best and the whole: For instance, it’s your life, or your enemy’s. You have a gun. He doesn’t. He will kill you if he can. You get off a fairly good shot with the one bullet you have left and your enemy drops. What do you do? You would shoot him again just to be sure, but no more bullets.

What do you do?

Turn the gun around and bash his fucking brains out with the other end, that’s what you do.

That series was my very first attempt at writing fanfiction, so it has a special place in my heart. I'm working on the final chapter as we speak, so keep your eyes peeled in a month or so.

And as for the whole gun with no bullets thing, I had a bee in my bonnet after watching a film called Wolf Creak where if the victim had just bashed the guy's skull in, they wouldn't have suffered half as much. Silly people.
