Meltdown

Computer went crazy. Everything fucked. Had to re-install Windows. Trying to recover. Everything different and wrong and strange. Found fics and pics. Lost many applications. Having nervous breakdown. Will catch up with emails and comments soon as possible.

Good idea! I think the only thing that I'm missing that's a big deal is my copy of Frontpage 2003. Everything else can be replaced cheap or for nothing. Even my virus software was about to expire anyway so I'm taking the opportunity to go with a cheaper company - silver lining! Yay! And I've re-d/l Bejeweled 2 because I can't live without that! Hee!

Much sympathies! I lost 2 years of fics and pics myself in a crash once.
Like darkhavens said, list what you're missing and I'm sure everyone will pitch in to find what they can for you.

Eeek, how awful! I thought I was going to loose all my fics but luckily the System Restore program put them all in a little file for me to retrieve when I was over my heart attack.

It's horrible, isn't it? Half our lives are on these hard drives so when something goes tits up it's just awful.

My computer was developing more and more error messages everyday so I think it just gave up the end. The good thing about all this is that I've started again with a nice clean system with no hang-ups or anything.

Everything is getting back to normal now. I've lost a load of stuff but luckily all my Word files and pictures had were stuffed away in a little backup folder that the System Restore created while it wiped me clean!

God, that sounds scary! Sorry to hear you lost some stuff and yeah, sad and horrible our lives are on these machines, isn't it? And when something happens we freak out. lmao.

Thank you, I'm getting there. It's nice to have my computer back to normal but I can't work out what I'm missing. LOL! It's weird!
