Rocky Horror and Piccies!
Dec. 3rd, 2006 07:14 pmRocky Horror was a blast. Bigballs and I had a great time, but we were very disapointed in the amount of people who bothered to dress up. Hello? Rocky Horror? You are supposed to wear a costume? Yes? We're putting it down to the Theatre being in Richmond and the theatre goers being therefore too posh to put on suspenders.
I did however spot a man in a white rubber nurse costume. That was nice.
The show itself was very well done and all the actors were perfect. There was just enough audience participation to make it all work, although I'm still a little stunned that not everybody got up to do the Timewarp. Hey, me and BB aren't the most outgoing people in the universe but we managed it - with arms all over the place because I couldn't quite remember the sequence. Hee!
Conclusion: Show good; going again in April (Brighton); on-stage manly touching very satisfying; worth the money and made a nice break. Grandad was bright as button when I got back. His face actually lit up when he saw me come through the front door. Pity it didn't last.
I'm affraid I have no pics of men in stockings, as we'd all hoped; maybe we'll do better at Brighton. Instead here are a couple of pics of me and BB from after the show. You totally have to check out BB's costume. She made it all herself. The top was once a bra and skirt that she patched together and sewed sequins on. Beautiful, but tying her into it was a bitch!! :oD

Also, I made a new Spander banner. Shut up.

Date: 2006-12-03 07:36 pm (UTC)The costumes look great. Why wouldn't people dress up and do the Timewarp? What's the point of going?

A man in a white rubber nurse costume? There must be a good pun there. ;)
