SCROLL DOWN FOR SPOILERS
Really enjoyed tonight's Doctor Who. At first I thought it was a bit sameold, and the water-zombies were innovative but slightly silly (liked the cracked mouths, though), but then the pace picked up and the Doctor took me to that thinky-lump-in-the-throat place he always seems to take me. I found the scenes when the Doctor was just standing still listening to them struggle and die heartbreaking, and the whole thing about certain destinies and deaths being fixed touch a very raw nerve. Why did the Doctor choose to try to save those people? Why did he turn dark at the end? I think it was because he's scared. Ohhhhh, I think it's going to be one depressing Christmas :oD
This week's Merlin was the best ep so far this season. Loved Morgause. I so knew she was Morgana's half-sister. The scene between Arthur and Uther was absolutely fantastic -- great acting, great direction, great script. Also, Merlin? I needs to squish him -- a lot.
Got fed up using the keyboard to play Batman: Arkham Asylum so bought an Xbox Controller For Windows. Took me about an hour to get used to it, but there's no stopping me now. This game rocks and I highly recommend it. The graphics are outstanding, the gameplay fun and surprisingly non-repetitive and there are difficulty levels for all. I'm also all flappy-armed because yesterday I found a download of the comic that came with the special edition version that I couldn't afford. Hurrah!
