Merlin Mini-Picspam: The Dragon's Call

The purpose of this little picspam is one of persuasion, corruption and conversion. Look into my eyes; you will like Merlin.
Under the cut are sixteen smallish screencaps taken from the first episode, The Dragon's Call. Take a look, guys, and tell me you're not a little bit curious. For those of you who are already watching, have another look at the pretty boys, on me, my treat.

This is Merlin. Isn't he cute? He sort of reminds me of early Xander, gangly and awkward. Big ears, bigger mouth. He's sweetness on sight.

This is Gaius. Check out the hair! I don't believe it! He's practical and caring and grumpy. I likes him

This is Arthur. He's gorgeous but not the perfect, gallant, gentlemanly, kindly prince we were expecting. He's arrogant, a bully with an attitude and a massive ego. He's got a long way to go before he's fit to be a king of legends.

First meeting. It's obvious from the moment we see Arthur that there's going to be a clash of personalities with Merlin.

Did I say clash of personalities? I meant clash of bodies. Look, they can't wait to get their hands on each other.
But enough of the slash for a moment. What else has Merlin got?

Witches!

Dragons!

A king who is confused by fruit!

Magical glowy eyes!

Bondage! Oh, we're almost back to the slash, ha ha! (That's Guinevere, btw. She's not not quite what I expected and I haven't made up my mind about her yet.)
Moving on. Of course, Merlin and Arthur clearly want each other, even though they've taken an instant dislike. It's denial, I tell you. See the evidence: here is Merlin saving Arthur's life because he secretly wants to get into his trousers/knickers/armour.

See? I'm not wrong. Rescue! What a relief.

As Merlin's reward, KingGiles Uther declares Merlin Arthur's manservant. I'm 32-years-old but I proper giggled at that, all childish like.

But Merlin and Arthur are less than amused. Oh give them time. Give them time, a bed, a bottle of ye olde lube and a big bunch of slashers.
And that completes my little picspam. Obviously, I'm mucking about a bit here, but this show really does have enormous potential, both as a hugely successful production and as a massive fandom. It's worth a look.
Feel free to take the images for any purpose.
Picspam for episode two coming as soon as I'm able. I've booked an appointment to have a bad day tomorrow. I'm not kidding. I'll let you know about it in my next post.
