If the fic is on lj, then I go to the address bar and add a random letter after the http:// and it shows every single page (starting with that letter) that I've been to for the last week or so. If it's from a comm add community and see the list pop up (or drop down as it were), if it's a random journal, then go through the ABC. The journal url + subject line will come up and you'll have a better idea hopefully. Unless they're all labelled 'FIC', then you're screwed. :D
