I've wanted to write kid!fic for a long time now, and finally I've found the right fandom for it!

I have an incredible urge to go find some, sit cross-legged in the middle of my floor, surrounded by Fuzzy Felt!

Me too! I used to adore that stuff. I had loads of it. I wish I still had it all. I'd be on the floor right now making little H/D scenes. Hee!
