Re tonight's debut episode of Merlin I would like to give it a massive thumbs up. I really enjoyed it. Anthony Head and Eve Myles were great and I loved the young lad playing Merlin (Colin Morgan apparently).

But tell me this, did any one else pick up slashy Arthur/Merlin vibes??? Please tell me it's not just me! Please tell me they'll be fic! And icons! And a comm!

OH YES, the slash came through loud and clear! All that walking around on your knees banter, and a single blow...my mind was in the fucking gutter the whole way through.

Oh thank god it wasn't just me!! I giggled when Anthony Head said 'Manservant'. Oh, and Arthur saying there was just something about Merlin? Well, that was so slashy and then he said 'But I can't quite put my finger on it,' and that pushed me over the edge. Hee!

Wasn't it GOOD?! Great acting, great SFX and such slashy undertones I practically cheered. *g* The lad playing Merlin was very good. I haven't seen him before but he carried the ep really well. Lovely to see Richard Wilson and Anthony Head and Eve Myles. Loved it! Saturday nights are looking well good, with that and Strictly.

It was brilliant! I had a funny feeling it would be good and I'd end up following it all the way through, but I had no idea there would be slashy goodness too!

Sorry it took so long to reply! I was determined to figure out how to save it to a disc before DLing because I can't leave it on the computer.

But I got it figured out now! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! I'll let you know what I think of it when I watch it this weekend. That is if I'm not helping install gutters this weekend.

I loved it!

I thought Colin Morgan looked like an odd choice from the pictures in the Radio Times, but he's very charismatic, isn't he, and so is Arthur (and it's nice to see people with crooked teeth). I thought Anthony Head was very regal, and I loved seeing Richard Wilson playing a really warm character.

And the castle -- well it's all wrong, but it's about time we got to see somewhere clean.

I thought exactly the same! As soon as he opened his mouth I thought ooh, I'm going to like this guy. For me, there was no down point at all. Well, maybe apart from Eve Myles only having a part in that one episode.

I really hope this series does well.
