My nipples are a little sore ...

... so it's probably nearly that time of the month, which might explain my sudden emotional outburst yesterday. There I was happily catching up with DC's Blackest Night, specifically Issue 3 of the Titans tie-in, and I burst into tears. I'm marking the moment here because it's the first time a comic has made me cry.

The offending scans are under the cut.

For those of you who aren't following the Blackest Night storyline, you just need to know that the dead are being brought back as zombie-like creatures who attack their loved ones.

*Blackest Night. Why do I always want to call it Darkest Night? *facepalm*

My issue isn't so much that there's anything wrong with the storyline of BN, it's that DC have been pimping the hell out of it for months and months and everywhere you look in the back of comics and online DC-stable writers and artists are going 'OMG Blackest Night is so awesome!!!11!!!!' :D

They're starting to sound like a scary cult, that's all. I think the last issue is going to come with a sachet of poisoned kool aid for everyone to drink taped to it.

LOL, now if they actually do tape some kool aid to it I'm going to become seriously worried!
