I know why you swing between hating and loving Uther. It's because you keep seeing Giles. It's like, "GRRR, Uther, you bastard, I hate you - but you're GILES, damn it! Aww, look, you're being nice. Giles, go and talk to Gaius!"
It's like fan schizophrenia.
