Title: Untitled, because I can't think of anything suitable. Suggestions most welcome at any time.
Fandom: BTVS
Pairing: Spike/Xander
Author: [personal profile] suki_blue
Rating: NC-17 for smut, language and violence.
Summary: The Hellmouth has been quiet while Spike and Xander rebuild their lives, but after two local sisters disappear from their graves in unvampish circumstances, things rapidly go from mildly disconcerting to apocalypse in just 12 days. And the enemy? They're angry, they're in agony, they're everywhere, and they're deader than Spike and Angel put together.

Love to [profile] kitty_poker1, the best beta in Spander Land and beyond. Thanks also to [personal profile] literati and [personal profile] amejisuto for their help and encouragement.

Chapter 3

Day 37

I haven't been online much this last week due to things, stuff and widgets, so sorry for the lack of me. I'm sure it's been difficult for you all.

I've been smoke free for 37 days. On day 34, I didn't think about smoking at all. Today it's all I can think about. I've been knitting through the pain and I have a new friend to introduce to you all: Little Ted!

He was tricky becuase I had to use 3mm needles and keep the tension deliberately tight. Sewing his parts together (and doesn't that sound remarkably dodgy?) was nail-biting stuff because the yarn had to be pulled so tight to keep him together when his arms and legs move.

Today I've been planning my essay on the narrative voices and dialogue used by Jane Austen in Pride and Prejudice. It's not as easy as it probably sounds but, god-damn, motherfucker, I'm determined.

In fandomy news, I've been re-watching QAF (US) and if I wasn't smitten before I'm certainly all of a flutter now. I feel a picspam coming on good and proper.

The first part of Grief Counseling is now just days away from being posted. I'm excited about it and also looking forward to getting it all done and dusted so I can move on to the next project. I have started my Xangel in Spaaaaaaaaaace and poor Angel is already in a predicament and will unfortunately have to stay that way until I can get GC off my mind.

Now back to my essay and then I shall catch up with my 183 emails ~boggles~

The first draft of the new Grief Counseling story is complete. Holy moly, that took a long time. 27,000 words and I'm rather pleased because for a first draft it's turned out rather well. Yays!

Now I shall retire to my bed to watch some telly and do some knitting. Nine days and I'm still smoke-free. I've knitted a third of a wonky scarf and I've just started a bright red jelly baby with my brand new bamboo needles.

I thought I was having a rough few days and then I opened my copy of The Colour Purple and realised no, I was not. Sometimes I just need perspective.

I'm way behind on emails and struggling to catch up so apologies for that. The good news is the new Grief Counseling one-shot is nearly done. Yays. It's gone a tad epic (is 'a tad epic' even possible?) and it's no longer a one-shot. It's way too long. Whoops! After it has been completed I shall begin my new project, which is a medium length Xangel set several thousand years in the future. Yup, it's Xangel in spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace!

I've given up smoking. It's been three days so, please, no medals just yet. I've taken up knitting to give my hands something to do and a combination of that plus SGA S4 seems to be enough to distract me from the cravings for now. Three days of knitting and I have five inches of wonky scarf. I totally blame Rodney McKay.

My friend R brought me some Lush products. The smell is beautiful and VERY potent. The dog put his head in the bag and nearly passed out.

That's all for now. Glad to see we're all still here. I shall now get back to my emails. Love you all.

Anyone remember an itty bitty little fic written by myself and [livejournal.com profile] amejisuto by the name of [livejournal.com profile] griefcounseling? Remember we promised you two epilogues? Well, finally, there's something in the pipeline. Work has begun on an epilogue/one-shot in the Grief Counseling 'verse. It's a brand new story that takes place about six months from where we left you. And to celebrate this event, Ame and I enlisted [livejournal.com profile] literati to re-vamp (haha, couldn't resist) the community with a funky new layout, header and icon. Have a look and tell us what you think, because I'm floored by how beautiful it looks.

Thank you, Lit; I can't tell you how much this means to us. You've done the most fantastic and perfect job, and we're touched that you would do this for us.

The fic should be ready to roll in two to three weeks (because it's rather massive and I'll be posting the whole thing in one day) and I hope ya'll be here for it. Spike and Xander thank you for your patience :oD
